What a Weekend!

You know it's a good weekend, when on Monday you can say all your teams won. Baylor beat Rice, the Texans beat the Chiefs, Tiger won the BMW Championship, and to cap off the weekend, the Cowboys beat the Giants.

Some other, not so televised events, made my weekend even better though. Saturday, Rhonda and Garin and I went to Home Depot and Lowe's looking for an area rug, then over to Chick-Fil-A for an early lunch. I had a blast watching Garin play and talking with Rhonda. No one televises that.

Then last night, we had our first Creekside Community Table. It marks the beginning of something incredible - Neighborhood Life at The Springs. The evening was rich and the life journey with my fellow Creeksiders has begun. It was only the first gathering and we really don't know how things will turn out in the future, but as I sat and listened to people open up and share life stories, something inside me said, "Take note." There is a song by David Crowder called Foreverandever Etc., and one of the lines in the song goes like this: "I think I'm on the brink of something large, maybe like the breaking of a dawn, or maybe like a match being lit or the sinking of a ship." This is how I feel right now.
