Hot New Music I'm Listening To Right Now...

Some of you know me and know that I like music.  I like a lot of different kinds of music, but it seems that sometimes new releases pile up in one particular genre.  This happened to me this month.  It seems like everyone I like released a CD within a two week window of each other.  I just wanted to share with you those and see if you like any of them as much as I do.  I might post reviews on them at a later date but right now here is my hot list...

Jimmy Needham is a local Houston guy who is now at A&M.  He's got a great sound and better lyric.

Chris Tomlin...big lyrics and easy to sing.  They just stick with you.

David Crowder Band - live recording of the Remedy CD, and the purchased CD comes with a Bonus DVD of concert footage from every song - even the Guitar Hero guitar!

Matt Nathanson - new to me.  Filthy mouth in between songs, but man I love the music!

Charlie Hall - Charlie (another sixsteps records guy - with Chris Tomlin and David Crowder Band) writes songs that stay with me for a long time.  This new record is no exception and I love that you can get the charts for every song on his website and start playing them immediately!

Shelley Jennings - a friend of ours who went to Baylor with us.  We love Shelley!  This time she just put some of her favorite worship songs on a CD for us...pretty cool, but I really like her original stuff from the previous album...

John Mayer - oh, it's good!
