Well, I walked out into the front yard this morning and I think I actually smelled Fall in the air. There was the slightest of cool in the air and it was good. Now, it's still warm, but that little promise that it's about to break for the year sure was welcomed by me.
This slight temperature change accompanies several other changes this time of year. As a die-hard Ranger fan, I've realized that we are not going to the world series this year, or the playoffs. It's been a great year, but we wind down this month and start looking toward Spring Training. Tomorrow at 3:15, my football season begins. The Cowboys kick-off against the Browns. Oh it's good. Baylor had to work out some kinks of another new coach and a new quarterback, but there is a little promise there, too.
Tomorrow, we gather with all of the other Springs in our area for our Sunday gathering at the YMCA. We start a new series called "Made" and it's going to be good. Last night, Garin and I went to the Clear Springs football game and we won...2-0 to start our first varsity season. Go Chargers! Garin started second grade and loves it.
I just like new beginnings. Fall is a great time of year and it might just be knocking on our door!
